Hello! My name is Jeff Campbell, and I am excited to begin my fifth year as principal at Riverdale Junior/Senior High School. I was the Dean of Students and 5th grade math teacher at the Elementary School for five years before becoming principal. I know our school community very well, and I care deeply about our students, families, and staff.
I take great pride in leading Riverdale Junior and Senior High School. I have not only been a teacher and parent at Riverdale, but I am also a proud alumnus, graduating in 2001. I feel very fortunate to now be the principal at Riverdale.
This will be my 18th year in education. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary/Middle Level Education from UW-La Crosse in 2006 and a master’s degree from Concordia University in Educational Administration in 2011. I taught reading and math in the Wisconsin Dells school district for eight years before coming to Riverdale.
When I am not in school I enjoy spending time with my wife, Katie, who is a kindergarten teacher in the district, along with my three boys, Eli(14), Luke (12) and Noah (7). All three are currently students in the district.
Everything we do in our school should be done with the best interest of the students in mind. I am determined to work with the staff to support every child, every day at Riverdale Junior/Senior High School. We not only pride ourselves on the high expectations we expect our students to reach, but also our staff holds themselves to the highest of standards. We are proud of our students' accomplishments and strive to support our students in any way possible.
We have a rigorous curriculum at Riverdale that is accessible and adaptable. This curriculum will help students prepare for their future and leave with the skills necessary to be successful. Teachers are committed to going above and beyond within the curriculum boundaries to reach the full potential of students.
The teachers and staff are accepting of all learning needs and create a community of learners where all students strive to be successful. We work hard to build a relationship with not only students but families and community members as well. The school system is an extension of the community. Together we can achieve great success, working with each other on a daily basis.
I look forward to working with the entire Riverdale community to create an environment where students strive to excel in all aspects of life. There is a high bar set for achievement at Riverdale and, working together, we need to continue to raise that bar. By engaging students and families we can continue to make Riverdale a great place to learn and grow. I have a commitment to the staff, students, families, and community to lead Riverdale down this path. I look forward to working with all of you and hope you have a wonderful school year.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey A. Campbell
